We live in Sonoma county, CA and near the Pacific Ocean where there are some established oyster beds and companies, but they tend to be wildly overpriced and quite inconvenient to shop with. We were looking to celebrate our son’s recent academic accomplishments during an upcoming visit and we discovered Little Wicomico on FaceBook. The high ratings and outstanding reviews were all true,…these folks not only grow delicious sustainable oyster in a side range of varieties - but they pack them masterfully and ship them flawlessly. Our variety pack of 100 oysters arrived with all 100 in perfect shape, all closed and very much ready to be shucked and eaten by our grateful family. Plus, they honor first responders (military, firefighters, healthcare workers etc) with an additional discount ! We certainly appreciated that acknowledgment as well. My son and I shucked all 100 in record time and they were gone in a blink ! We are already planning our next order !! Terrific family run, sustainable business !! Highly recommended.

we ordered the sampler from wicomico, and also caviar from another place and set up a whole spread for my birthday this year. my husband said the raw oysters were the best, then the grilled oysters, then the caviar lol. they truly were so flavorful in the best, sweetest way! it was fun tasting the difference between the different varieties, and the freshness is unmatched.. we already ordered another sampler for christmas dinner this year!

Had oysters delivered to another city where we were visiting our son and family. They arrived exactly at the time promised. Oysters were perfectly packed. They were delicious. The shucking knife was better than the one I’ve used for years. We made an oyster stew with the ones we didn’t eat on the first night. There was not one bad oyster in the box. We loved the three different varieties that were sent. We will order, again.
