I ordered 2 hundred-count oyster samplers. They arrived on time and with plenty of ice remaining in the cold packs, despite air temperatures in the upper 80s. Communications from the company were exceptionally thorough, and I had not the least anxiety about whether the shipment would arrive as promised.
The oysters were delicious and very well received by all of our guests.
My favorite variety was Blackberry, lusciously flavored, with uniform shell structure that afforded easy opening from the hinge end. A close second was Peachtree. The others were also good, but the shells were more brittle, especially the Rock Hole variety. Many of them fractured when pried open.
The complimentary oyster knives were surprisingly good, so effective in fact that I didn't get out my own favorite knife until I'd opened about 120. By then, I became aware of some numbness and tingling in the fingers of my shucking hand and changed over to my old stand-by (which has a larger, rounder handle). The complimentary knives are great, but I am reasonably certain that prolonged use would produce carpal tunnel syndrome. Still, if I were going to put something in my pocket for impromptu opening of a couple of dozen oysters, these little freebies would be just the thing.
