Celebrated an anniversary weekend with my girlfriend. We decided to look around for where we could order oysters to indulge in all weekend.
Wicomico not only had the best price, it had variety, it got here quickly and when they said it would, we got a variety of 4 oysters instead of just one kind, and they were EXTREMELY fresh. Even in the AZ Phoenix 110F heat.
I think there was maybe, 3 TOPS oysters that by the second day of eating them we didn't feel were worth risking eating. Incredible.

This is the third time I have had Wicomico oysters and they are some of the best I have had. Well worth the shucking time. I had raw oysters as well as made oyster chowder when our fridge froze some of the oysters..
Oysters were delicious. We were very happy with our order and quick delivery. The shucking knife was a nice addition but not the best. We did have issues opening the Smith Point as probably 10 out of 25 shattered on us. Not sure if that was a problem with the oysters or the shuckers.
Cold, fresh, great oysters overall
Arrived on time, oysters were right at 38F and very well packaged. No fish smell at all, only that briny, fresh smell. I opted to try a few upon arrival and they were so fresh, great flavor and ample size. I will never go the local “fresh” market for oysters, I’m a customer for life.
Oysters arrived on time and in tact. So far the Blackberrys and Rock Hole are my favorite from a taste perspective. The Smithpoints are the hardest to open but nice and juicy. The Peachtrees actually becoming more of my favorite as they are super easy to open, and super tasty as well. All in all; not as salty as we have here on Long Island, due to river vs bay/ocean, …but very good quality oysters. Luvin em!
Packing kept the sampler well protected. The oysters were well maintained and cleaned. Secondary prep and cleaning was minimal. Peach tree oysters were very well balanced with hints of fruit. Black berry oysters were buttery and sweet. Rock hole oysters were delightful. Truly enjoyed
